A 52-year-old free-diver was rescued by a Coast Guard crew off Lana'i's Manele Bay yesterday.

Bruno Ambay became separated from three friends and their 15-foot boat yesterday about four miles off of Manele Bay. He was picked up about two hours later while swimming along a rocky shoreline.

A Coast Guard helicopter crew flew Ambay to waiting paramedics and another Coast Guard crew towed the divers' Boston Whaler to Manele Bay after it lost power.
