The county Department of Public Works will install four speed humps in Waimea starting this week.

Two will go on Laelae Street and two on Konokohau. The weeklong project is scheduled to begin January 28.

Crews will close on one road at a time during construction, which will take place between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays. Residents living on Laelae and Konokohau streets may enter the subdivision via Kawaihae Road or Opelo Road during the road closures.
