For the 18th consecutive year, Ala Moana Center is sponsoring a fireworks display at Ala Moana Beach Park on the Fourth of July. The festivities at Ala Moana Center will continue throughout the weekend.
Thirty percent of Ala Moana Center’s fireworks this year will consist of brand-new displays, never seen before. The only fireworks show in Hawai‘i to launch from three separate platforms, it is the state’s largest fireworks production. The three-part display will use more than a ton of digital pyrotechnics and showcase visual effects with labels such as the “Swimming Fish,” “Giant Glittering Rainbow,” “Happy Faces” and “Tumbling Dice.”
In addition to the visual presentation, a soundtrack will be broadcast simultaneously on KUMU 94.7 FM and will include American classic, popular contemporary and Hawaiian songs.
The fireworks show will begin on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Free open seating on Ala Moana Center’s Makai-Ewa Parking Deck will be available on a first come, first served basis. Entertainment will continue through the weekend, with entertainment on Centerstage on Sunday, July 5 beginning at noon.
