'Aloha Shorts' celebrates Halloween on Sunday

Advertiser Staff

As part of the “Aloha Shorts” to be broadcasted in October, Halloween comes early this July as a live taping of “Spooky Stories” happens at the Atherton Performing Arts Studio on Kaheka Street at 7 p.m.Sunday.

Prepare to have your pants scared off as tales by local authors will be read by actors who will match spine-chilling stories with face expressions to match.
The works include Nora Okja Keller’s “Ghost Stories,” Sylvia Watanabe’s “Talking to the Dead” and more.
If you want to be part of the action, there will also be a home-made costume contest, so start summoning that monster costume that’s been aching to come out of the closet.
Reservations are recommended since seating is free, but limited. Call 955-8821 for more information, or reservations.
