"Ape Escape," a flash animated cartoon produced by Hawaii Film Partners, debuts at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Don't be late tuning in, though, because the 38 episodes are two minutes each.

"Ape Escape" is the first locally-produced cartoon to be picked up by a national network.

The cartoon is based on the SonyPlaystation video game of the same name, but it's aimed at an audience ages 6 to 13 who don't need to know the game.
