Mita won the 11-12 age division on June 21 during the San Diego-Oakland game at PETCO Park. Ethan Golovach of Honolulu was second in the 7-8 age division while Luke Chang of Honolulu (9-10) and Christian Manzo of Wahiawa (13-14) both placed third. All advanced to the San Diego competition by winning the sectional competition.
Competitors were rated in pitching, running and hitting.
All 30 MLB ballparks hosted Pitch, Hit & Run finals. Mita's score didn't qualify him for the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game.
