A woman was critically injured in Mililani this afternoon when she was hit by a vehicle.

The accident happened about 5:30 p.m. at Meheula Parkway and Kuahelani Avenue, said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department.
Paramedics treated the woman, who is believed to be in her 40s, and transported her to a hospital.
Police said the woman was taken to The Queen's Medical Center.
Meheula Parkway was closed in the southbound direction at Kuahelani Avenue. Southbound traffic on Meheula was being routed on to Kuahelani.
Police vehicular homicide investigators were dispatched to the scene.
