Woman arrested after alleged attack on bus driver
Police on Sunday night arrested a 28-year-old woman after she allegedly attacked a city bus driver in Kalihi.
The driver told police the woman became unruly and that he told her to quiet down.
When the bus came to a stop, the woman hit the driver twice in the head, got off the bus and ran away.
Responding police officers found the woman nearby and arrested her at 555 N. King St. on suspicion of interfering with public transit operations. She is believed to be homeless.
The driver, 50, declined medical treatment, police said.
