Prisoner arrested for robbing fellow inmate of a sandwich
A 50-year-old man who was held in the cellblock at the main police station Tuesday night got himself into even more trouble when he allegedly stole a jelly sandwich from a fellow prisoner.
Police said a 47-year-old man was given two jelly sandwiches and placed in a cell occupied by the older man.
Once inside the cell, the older man slapped the younger man on the side of the head and took away one of the sandwiches, police said.
The older man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery. He was moved to a separate cell.
