The Made in Hawaii Festival is seeing an increase in the number of exhibitors this year, with almost 500 booths being reserved compared to a little more than 420 last year.
The festival, which is presented by First Hawaiian Bank and runs Aug. 21 to 23, will feature products from five islands and is expected to generate moer than $1.5 million in sales. It’s also expected to result in more than $10 million in residual sales for exhibitors in the 12 months after the show.
“We are pleased that despite current economic times, we have sold the most booths in 14 years and the Made in Hawaii Festival continues to receive support from the public,” said Richard Botti, president of the Made in Hawaii Association, the festival’s organizer.
