Environmental film festival ‘EarthDance’ set to inspire
| |||
Unlike Al Gore's film about environmental situations, "EarthDance" won't be filled with doom and gloom.
"We're living at a time when we need stories that connect people, bring them together and inspire hope," said Zakary Zide, EarthDance festival director and founder, in a press release.
Part of the "Sustain Your Brain" theme this summer, the UH-Manoa Outreach College presents free screenings of "Earth Dance," a juried compilation of comedies, documentaries, animations and adventures from around the world.
Screenings will run approximately 90 minutes at the UH-Manoa Art Auditorium and contain a unique compilation each time for different ages.
The family version will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow, and a grown-up version at 7 p.m. on Aug. 1. Door prizes will be available.
The movie celebrates the inspirational messages from the natural world, one short film at a time.
