After a career in agriculture that has spanned three decades, Frank Kiger is retiring from Alexander & Baldwin Inc.'s Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Co. Kiger is credited with leadership in the development of A&B's two branded food products — Kauai Coffee and Maui Brand Sugar — securing customers for both and establishing these brands in Hawai'i, on the U.S. Mainland and internationally.

Bank of Hawaii has announced the following promotions: Charlene "Lani" Fernandez to senior vice president and operations/underwriting manager in the underwriting and mortgage loan operations department; Lea Nakamura to senior vice president of the treasury department; and Shanae Souza to senior vice president of the mortgage banking division.
