LOS ANGELES — The MTV Movie Awards were a bloodbath last night, with "Twilight" taking five trophies, including best movie.

The popular vampire drama starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart sucked up the golden popcorn trophies for best movie, fight, kiss, breakthrough male performance and female performance during the over-the-top ceremony at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif., which honors the best in film from the past year as voted on by viewers.

Miley Cyrus won best song from a movie for "The Climb" from "Hannah Montana: The Movie," keeping "Twilight" from cashing in on all six of its nominations.

FATS MAKES RARE APPEARANCE AT CONCERT

NEW ORLEANS — Fats Domino rarely emerges from his Louisiana home — and many wondered if he'd show up for "The Domino Effect," his namesake concert that raises funds to help rebuild schools and playgrounds damaged by Hurricane Katrina.

Sure enough, the 81-year-old New Orleans native smiled and waved from his private suite at Saturday's concert to see two of his old friends perform — Little Richard and B.B. King. Chuck Berry, Wyclef Jean, Keb' Mo' and Junior Brown also took the stage.

"Up" took over the No. 1 spot from 20th Century Fox's "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian," which slipped to second place with $25.5 million, according to studio estimates yesterday. The weekend's other new wide release, Universal Pictures' horror tale "Drag Me to Hell," opened at No. 3 with $16.6 million.

LOS ANGELES — The Southern California woman who gave birth to the world's longest-surviving set of octuplets has signed a deal to star in a reality television series, her lawyer said yesterday. Nadya Suleman, who gave birth to the six boys and two girls in January and also has six other children, agreed to be filmed for a proposed show by Eyeworks, a Netherlands-based production company, the attorney said.
