NFL: Patriots’ Harrison mulls NFL future
Associated Press
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Patriots safety Rodney Harrison is expected to announce this week whether he is retiring from the NFL.
The two-time Pro Bowl selection missed the last 10 games last season with a muscle in his right thigh. It was his fourth serious injury in the last four years of his 15-season career.
Harrison’s contract expired after the 2008 season and he has not been at any of the team’s organized activities during the offseason. He worked for the NFL Network and for NBC during its Super Bowl coverage.
He had set a June 1 deadline for a decision, and he told the Boston Herald he would make an announcement Wednesday.
