Motorcyclist killed in Big Island crash

A man was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed tonight in Kona on the Big Island.
The accident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. on Kealakehe Parkway, about a mile above the Queen Kaahumanu Highway. Fire officials said the man, in his 20s, was overtaking a vehicle and re-entered his lane when he lost control of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle slammed into a curb and crashed, the fire department said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
