NFL: Cardinals sign 6-7, 382-pound lineman Johnson
Associated Press
TEMPE, Ariz. — The Arizona Cardinals have made a "big" signing — quite literally.
The Cardinals have signed 6-foot-7, 382-pound offensive lineman Herman Johnson to a three-year contract. Terms were not disclosed.
Johnson, a first-team Associated Press All-American, was Arizona's fifth-round pick out of LSU.
The largest player to wear an LSU uniform, Johnson started the final 38 games of his college career at either right guard or left guard.
Johnson is the first of Arizona's 2009 draft picks to sign with the team.
