A man was critically injured this evening after he was struck by a car while crossing North School Street in Kalihi.

The man, who appeared to be in his 40s, was hit as he tried to cross North School Street near Pohaku Street about 6:30 p.m. The man was taken to The Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition.
Police have closed portions of North School Street while they investigate the incident.
The accident happened about three-quarters of a mile from where a 54-year-old woman was struck and killed by a Robert Hawaii school bus Monday morning, at North School Street and Gulick Avenue.
