Residents are asked to donate recyclables to Stevenson Middle School on Saturday as a benefit for the Makiki Community Learning Center.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Recycables that will be accepted include scrap metal, old tires, beverage containers, green waste, cell phones, printer cartridges and computers. Reusable household items also will be accepted for donation to Goodwill Industries.

Items that will not be accepted include hazardous fluids, microwave ovens, televisions and gas tanks.
