Robinson a hit for Wai'anae

Wai'anae's Anthony Robinson, a 6-foot-1 senior outside hitter, was voted the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red West Player of the Year by league coaches.
Robinson, who will play at Graceland (Iowa) next year, helped lead the Seariders to an undefeated OIA West season.
Teammates Desmond Dela Cruz and Aaron Fogatu joined Robinson on the first team. Leilehua setter Effram Ofoia, libero Sterling Gascon and Bryson Sevilla were named to the first team, with Pearl City's Donovan Nieves and Mililani's Reid Pangelinan.
Mililani's John Ing was voted Coach of the Year. Mililani (13-5) earned a state tourney berth.
In the White Division, Waipahu senior Regan Prestidge and Kapolei junior Royce Tierra were voted as the West's Co-Players of the Year. Prestidge, a 6-2 outside hitter, helped the Marauders (10-7) reach the OIA White championship match and a state Division II tournament berth. Tierra, a 5-5 junior setter, also led the Hurricanes (8-10) to the state Division II tourney.
Also on the first team were Kapolei's Jordan Ferreira, Waipahu setter Iyama Kira Faatafa and teammate Tatupu Tatupu, Radford's Jet Mailo, Waialua libero Galen Sumida and teammate Branden Galapia.
Glenn Chong of Kapolei and Julna Pasicaran of Waipahu were Co-Coaches of the Year.
