Helpers still needed for Kuhio Park Terrace cleanup

Advertiser Staff

Volunteers are being sought for a community cleanup day on June 20 at Kuhio Park Terrace, a public housing complex in Kalihi.

The event, "Live Aloha Day," is sponsored by the Institute for Human Services in partnership with Kanu Hawaii and the Hawai'i Public Housing Authority.

About 400 volunteers and residents will work together to pick up trash, clean stairwells and lobbies, perform repairs and renew landscaping at Kuhio Park Terrace.

The event will begin at 8:30 p.m. and be completed by 1 p.m. To volunteer, call Leslie at 447-2842 or go to www.ihshawaii.org or www.kanuhawaii.org.

Staff from Realty Laua, the property manager for Kuhio Park Terrace, are providing support in organizing the cleanup and providing food for the volunteers.
