The YWCA of O'ahu will recognize 10 Hawai'i women leaders at its annual YWCA LeaderLuncheon tomorrow in the Hilton Hawaiian Village's Coral Ballroom.

The honorees are Dr. Erlinda M. Cachola of Cachola Medical Clinic; Suzanne D. Case, executive director of Nature Conservancy of Hawai'i; Anna Elento-Sneed of Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing; Signe A. Godfrey, president of Olsten Staffing Services; Marsha Graham, chief of medical management at Tripler Army Medical Center; Janice Kalanihuia, president of Moloka'i General Hospital; Melody K. MacKenzie, an assistant professor of law at the University of Hawai'i's William S. Richardson School of Law; Diane J. Plotts, vice chair of the board of trustees at Kamehameha Schools; Dr. Virginia M. Pressler, executive vice president of Hawai'i Pacific Health; and Indru Watumull, a community volunteer.

The late Mary Civille "Sue" Wesselkamper, a former president of Chaminade University, will be honored in memoriam with the lifetime achievement award. Wesselkamper will be recognized as the first woman to preside over a university in Hawai'i, the first to head a Marianist-sponsored university and, at the time of her appointment, one of about two dozen lay women who were presidents of Catholic colleges and universities nationally.

"The LeaderLuncheon theme this year is based on the principle that it takes a community to raise a leader. In turn, the leader raises the community," Cheryl Kauhane Lupenui, president and CEO of the YWCA of O'ahu, said in a news release.

"We are hoping to find out even more from those closest to these women who want to share stories, favorite quotes and congratulations," Lupenui said.
