“The Life & Times of Michael Jackson”: A one-hour documentary produced by the TV Guide Channel. 7 p.m. Sunday.
“BET Awards ’09”: The previously scheduled awards show, to be hosted by Jamie Foxx, is undergoing “a total overhaul,” according the Associated Press, which reported the show is being retooled as a tribute to Jackson. The telecast is being lengthened, performers are being added to the lineup (including Usher and Justin Timberlake) and additional guests are expected to attend. “American Idol”: The Fox reality show airs an encore performance from this past season, with contestants focusing on MJ’s material, including Adam Lambert on “Black or White.” 8 p.m. Monday, Fox.
