Fee gives access to priority tickets

Advertiser Staff

For a $50 fee, the University of Hawai'i will offer a "Road Warrior" package enabling fans to purchase priority tickets for its road football games this year, the athletic department announced yesterday.

Fans are still able to purchase away game tickets without becoming "Road Warrior" members but will receive a lower seating priority, UH said.

The $50 fee will go to 'Ahahui Koa Anuenue, the athletic booster group, to help underwrite scholarships. UH said the fee is 80 percent tax deductible and will include membership in Koa Anuenue. "Road Warrior" members also receive Rainbowtique discounts for online purchases.

They may purchase up to four tickets for any or all UH football road games. UH said the ticket allocation for all away games will be done in the following order and based on availability: 1. 'Ahahui Koa Anuenue sport package donors and UH corporate partners; 2. UH season ticket holders (by priority ranking); 3. Koa Anuenue "Road Warrior" level members; 4. Travel agencies; 5. General public.

UH will play six road games this season: Washington State in Seattle, Nevada-Las Vegas, Louisiana Tech, Idaho, Nevada and San Jose State.
