Six Hawai'i students and a chaperone, all diagnosed with H1N1 virus, are scheduled to be released from quarantine today at two South Korean hospitals.
Another chaperone, who was hospitalized for pneumonia, is expected to be released today as well.
The students and chaperones are part of a high school study group visiting South Korea in a program organized by the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council.
In all, 11 of the 25 people on the trip were found to be infected with the swine flu virus. Four other infected students were released last week.
The rest of the group was forced to remain in their Seoul hotel rooms until Thursday so health officials could make certain they weren't also carriers of the potentially fatal flu.
PAAC board member and spokeswoman Ruth Limtiaco said her organization is looking into extending the trip so the students can experience as much of the previously planned itinerary as possible.
