Kane'ohe native Dean Wilson was disqualified yesterday at the end of the second round of the PGA Tour's Travelers Championship at Cromwell, Conn.

PGA Tour officials said Wilson needed to chip in for birdie on his final hole to make the weekend cut, but when the chip didn't go in, he picked up his ball and did not record a score, according to a report at http://www.rotoworld.com.

Wilson, in his fifth year on the PGA Tour, has missed the cut in his previous seven tournaments and nine of his 16 events this season.
