NBA: Knicks sign 7-1 center Samb to 10-day contract

NEW YORK — The New York Knicks signed 7-foot-1 center Cheikh Samb to a 10-day contract Monday.
Samb, a second-round draft pick in 2006, joins his fourth team this season. He started with Detroit, was traded to Denver and then traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Samb, from Senegal, averaged 0.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.63 blocks in 16 games for the Clippers before he was waived Feb. 16.
In 20 career games, he's averaged 1.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 5.4 minutes
The Knicks' roster increased to 13 players.
