NBA: Bucks' Redd has surgery to repair left knee damage, out 6 months

Associated Press

MILWAUKEE — Bucks guard Michael Redd has had surgery to repair the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee that he tore nearly six weeks ago.

Redd was averaging a team-high 21.2 points when he was hurt after he fell on teammate Luke Ridnour in a 106-104 win against Sacramento on Jan. 24.

Redd will begin rehabilitation immediately and should make a full recovery after six months. Redd is expected to be ready for the opening of training camp next season.

The Bucks have been without the sharp-shooting Olympic guard and center Andrew Bogut for most of the season. But they've continued to stay in the Eastern Conference playoff race despite a losing record.
