A small-craft advisory remains in effect until 6 tonight for the Alenuihaha Channel, and Big Island Leeward and southeast waters, the National Weather Service says.

The advisory means that winds of 25 to 33 knots and/or seas of 10 feet or higher are expected to make for hazardous conditions for small craft.

Forecasters say the weather will remain cool, cloudy and rainy across the state at least until Wednesday, when more sunshine may return.
