Descendance, the award-winning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Dance Theatre from Australia, will perform at eight O'ahu schools next week.

The troupe will perform at Wai'anae, Pope, Keolu, Enchanted Lake, La'ie and Hau'ula elementary schools, Kahuku Intermediate School and Hawai'i Baptist Academy during March 17-19.

Descendance will also perform at the Honolulu Festival and at the Palace Theater in Hilo.

Descendance has toured in more than 30 countries. Its performances for children include exhibitions of traditional music and dance, and the use of instruments such as the didgeridoo.
