Hawai'i students will get their motors running and demonstrate that "It Ain't Easy Being Green" at the 2009 Robofest event at Pearlridge Center today.

The regional competition and exhibition is part of an international scholastic robotics program aimed at encouraging students to team up, research and use science, technology, engineering and mathematics in innovative ways.

The student presentations will demonstrate their skills in research, communication, robotic building and creativity.

Robofest will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Uptown Center Court.
