The Fourth Annual Honu Race & Family Concert & Dive 'N Movie Event fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park takes place from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Friday.

More than 3,000 adopted rubber turtles will compete in a "Race Down the Waianae Coast" ride at the park. At $15 each, the public can adopt the turtles for a chance at prizes include free gasoline and free admission to Hawaiian Waters. There will also be free entertainment by I Ka Pono, Typical Use and Shining Stars. There will also be a "Pau Hana Dive 'N'Movie Night" at the Hurricane Bay Wave Pool.

Adopting a honu costs $5 each, $15 as part of a movie night package. Advance purchases are available through tomorrow at www.bgch.com, by phone at 689-4182, 696-2754, or 668-9399, in person at any Leeward area Boys & Girls Club clubhouse, or the McDonalds in Waipahu, 'Ewa Beach, Kapolei, Waipi'o, Nanakuli, and Wai'anae. They will also be available at the park Friday, but from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. only.
