AMASA, Mich. — The portable maple court made for the Final Four is touring Michigan before being set up at Ford Field.
A truck carrying the floor left Connor Sport Court International's plant in the Upper Peninsula community of Amasa on Saturday. It will be on the road five days before being arriving Wednesday in Detroit for the April 4 and 6 games.
The court will be set up in the middle of the football field, which is home to the NFL's Detroit Lions.
The truck is scheduled to stop Sunday in Saginaw, Monday at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Tuesday at the Capitol in Lansing and Wednesday at the University of Michigan's Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor.
Salt Lake City-based Connor Sport Court International also built the court for the women's Final Four in St. Louis.
