Advertiser Staff

Courtney Senas went a combined 7 for 8 with two home runs and Kristi Oshiro also hit two home runs yesterday as Mililani swept an O'ahu Interscholastic Association softball doubleheader from Leilehua, 17-4 and 3-2, at Ka'ala Elementary School.

The two-time defending league champion Trojans improved to 4-0 in the OIA Red Conference Western Division; the Mules fell to 1-3.

In the first game, Senas, a shortstop, finished 5 for 5 with two home runs, seven RBIs and four runs scored, and Mililani scored 12 runs in the top of the sixth inning, sparked by Oshiro's two-run homer.

Mililani's Kylee Rodrigues pitched a five-hitter as the game was shortened to six innings due to the 10-run rule.

In the second game, Oshiro hit a solo homer in the bottom of the first inning to tie it at 1-1, and then the Trojans scored twice in the third after Rebecca Lee came home on a passed ball and Kishti Kamaka had an RBI single.
