Rotarians to build Philippine center
Some 28 members of the Rotary Club of Honolulu will leave for the Philippines Wednesday to build a life skills and vocational center for young men who have had trouble with the law.
The club has set aside $10,000 in club funds for the project, which has been matched with $20,000 in individual contributions.
This is the seventh consecutive year that club members have traveled to the Philippines to donate their time, provide manual labor and purchase building materials to help villages in mostly rural areas.
