Mayor to sign 2 bills for tourism, rail transit
The mayor will sign two bills today to help tourism and move the city's rail mass-transit project forward.
Bill 70 will allow for greater flexibility in the placement of signs that guide visitors and other customers.
Bill 10 sets up provisions for neighborhood Transit-Oriented Development plans to define land development around rail transit stations.
Waikiki business leaders will join Mayor Mufi Hannemann at 11:30 this morning at Beach Walk Plaza on Lewers Street to sign the bills.
