PHONE SALE TO BENEFIT EASTER SEALS
During April, Hawaiian Telcom will donate to Easter Seals Hawaii $4 from the sale of each $5 corded telephone.
The corded phones work during power outages, operating on the low-level electrical current provided from Hawaiian Telcom central offices, which have backup power systems in case of emergencies.
"Our $5 phone special in April benefits everyone," said Craig Inouye, Hawaiian Telcom senior vice president of sales. "Customers pay a low price for a great phone that works with our reliable service even if the power is out, and in doing so, support Easter Seals Hawaii programs and services that are relied on by thousands of Hawai'i families."
