Due to popular demand, six performances have been added to the previously announced schedule for Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' "Mamma Mia!," the hit musical based on the songs of ABBA.

Shows now run May 12 through May 30. The performance schedule at the Blaisdell Concert Hall is Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. and, through May 24, Sunday at 2 and 7 p.m.

Tickets for "Mamma Mia!" are priced at $75, $65 and $40 for weekdays and Sunday evenings; $85, $75 and $50 for Friday and Saturday performances and Sunday matinee. 

Group sales discounts available for 15 or more are available through the Hawaii Opera Theatre box office, 593-2468, with no discounts available for Friday or Saturday evening performances. 

There are special discounts for groups, students and Scouts and senior groups. As a special salute to the armed forces, there is a 10 percent discount on tickets for military with ID, exclusive of Friday and Saturday evenings.

A gala benefit for the Women's Cancer Center at Kapiolani Medical Center will also be held opening night.

Gala tickets are $100 each and include VIP seating plus invitation to a cast party after the show, held at Romano's Macaroni Grill in Ala Moana Center.
