Morinoue family featured in Honolulu art exhibition
The artistic family of Hiroki, Setsuko and Miho Morinoue of the Big Island will be featured in an exhibition at The Contemporary Museum at First Hawaiian Center in the fall.
Hiroki and Setsuko Morinoue and their daughter, Miho, live in Holualoa and together form an in-the-family artists' cooperative with work extending to prints, sculptures, drawings and ceramics. They helped to found the Holualoa Foundation for Art and Culture and all three have shown (and in the case of Miho, a dancer, performed) widely.
Their upcoming show will go on display Oct. 9 through Jan. 9, 2010, and will be on display during normal banking hours and on First Fridays.
