Hawai'i freshman righthander Stephanie Ricketts was named Western Athletic Conference softball pitcher of the week for the second time this season.
Ricketts, of San Jose, Calif., tossed her second no-hitter of the season and was 2-0 record with a 0.00 earned run average last week against Boise State, leading the Rainbow Wahine to a three-game series sweep.
In the series opener, she had a five-inning no hitter, facing just one batter over the minimum and striking out four. It was her ninth shutout of the season. She then threw a two-hitter in the following game, striking out two. Ricketts held the Broncos to a .061 batting average. She also earned her 20th and 21st wins of the season, becoming just the fifth pitcher in Hawai'i history to pass the 20-win mark.
Louisiana Tech's Heather Doiron was named WAC hitter of the week.
