Injured bicyclist airlifted from Ka'ena Point ravine
A man described as being in his 30s fell off of a mountain bike near Ka'ena Point and landed in a 20-foot ravine yesterday, possibly breaking a limb, Honolulu fire Capt. Earle Kealoha said.
The man was riding with a group of bicyclists when he fell near the Kaena Point lighthouse around 12:29 p.m., Kealoha said.
He was airlifted by the fire department's Air 1 helicopter and taken to a spot near Dillingham Field, where he was transferred to an ambulance, Kealoha said.
