Meghan Krieg pitched a six-hitter to lift Louisiana Tech to a 7-1 victory over Hawai'i in an opening-round game of the Western Athletic Conference softball tournament today at Fresno, Calif.

The Bulldogs tagged UH starter Stephanie Ricketts for three runs on four hits in four innings. Ricketts struck out four and walked none.

Hawai'i plays the loser of tomorrow's Fresno State-Boise State game in an elimination game at 1:45 p.m. Hawai'i time tomorrow.
