FOAM PARTY

In the '90s, it was all about sipping on cosmopolitans. What's hip now? Fusion drinks — cocktails made with fresh fruit and exotic liquors, with tantalizing taste and color. Hiroshi Eurasion Tapas has a martini that will definitely make you look stylish — the Eurasion Martini, a shaken (not stirred) mixture of vodka and green tea, topped with a lemongrass foam. Need something stronger? The Little Grass Shack is a sweet mix of vodka, rum, Midori and, of course, a little foam. You'd think these fancy drinks would cost you an arm and a leg, but nothing says style like a good deal, and at $3.50 all night long (valid only at the bar), you can afford to treat your girlfriends to a few cocktails, too. Hiroshi Eurasion Tapas, Restaurant Row; 533-4476.

SALES & BARGAINS

• We're excited about this summer's trend: bright lips, a look worth smooching. Don't be shy, with lots of versions to choose from, you won't have to worry about getting the version that's right for you. Simple and sheer, Nars' new summer lip gloss in Babe lives up to its name. A sheer poppy coral red without tacky glitter or shimmer, it draws attention to you in the best of ways. Layer it over Nars' Red Square velvet matte lip liner for a stunning effect. Beware: keep everything else simple, or folks might think you're a circus act. It'll leave others speechless. Available at Nordstrom, Ala Moana Center; 953-6100, www.nordstrom.com.

• Do something for Mom today: Get her off her feet and sitting comfortably. Don't just make breakfast, add a refreshing cocktail to the mix. Grab a bottle of Pacifikool ginger syrup and add a splash of pineapple juice, mint, lime and seltzer for a truly enjoyable sip. Add vodka or gin at your discretion. Find Pacifikool at R. Field Wine Company at Foodland, 1460 S. Beretania St., 596-9463, or Tamura's Market, 3496 Wai'alae Ave., 735-7100.

• J. Crew on the Island just announced lots of fresh additions to a big Spring Sale. Got a summer wedding on the books? Make sure to take a look at their bridal collection of party dresses, simple and perfect, so as to not upstage the bride. Say goodbye to seasons' past "it bags." We believe that anything that costs $2,000-plus that dangles on your arm should have rubies and sapphires in it. Get instead something like the Editor bag, in a nondescript but great quality leather, in taupe. It's now on sale for $250. J. Crew on the Island, Ala Moana Center; 955-9517, www.jcrew.com.

• Hooray: Gladiator sandals are back this season. It's one trend we won't have to buy something new to follow. If you don't have a pair from previous seasons, there are several attractive ones to choose from that'll keep your toes comfy and chic. We love that gladiator styles are so versatile; you really get your money's worth. Tip: Skip black unless you want a fetish look, and choose a style with thinner and/or fewer straps. They really do look great with almost anything; wear them with long skirts, short dresses, shorts, or capris. Find a variety of styles and brands now on sale at www.PiperLime.com.

BED OF ROSES

MAC's latest line, A Rose Romance, is bursting with floral tones to celebrate spring. To get a look at what the new colors can do, we made over Melody Luna, who rarely wears makeup.

Some new, ice cream-colored shades such as Circa Plum and Shadowy Lady for eyes were blended with natural shades to get a naturally glamazon look.

Just a Pinch gel blush looked bold in the pot, but was light once it was applied — and it lasted well into the night. Makeup artist Tiffany Sugiyama-Bakrim suggests you blot Hot Planet Mineralize blush over your lips to make the color pop.

Check out the DejaRose scent and Fix + Rose aqua spritz, too, at MAC, Ala Moana Center (955-0356) and Pearlridge (488-2200).

NEW SOUNDS ON STREET

The sweet, sultry sound of the new Island album "Anuhea" has finally hit stores. "The hardest part in my eyes is over. We recorded a great album and got it out," says Rylee Anuheake'alaokalokelani Jenkins, also known as Anuhea, who describes her reggae-tinged music as a blend of acoustic, soul and pop. "I've always been very passionate about music, but never really thought I could do it as a career until I was approached by my label, One Hawaii Music," she explains. "As a child, I took 'ukulele classes, and throughout my life I have written about my experiences — my ups, downs, struggles; it's all a real-life story. All my songs are original music." "Anuhea" is available for $8.99 plus shipping and handling online at www.anuheajams.com.

IN THE ARIA

As some of Honolulu's most experienced party promoters, Flash and Matty have always kept their happenings fresh and trendy to ensure a beautiful crowd and entertaining experience. So it's par for the course for the two to introduce a new concept: Supper Club at Aria. With a touch of F&M, Aria's old-world ambiance is transformed into an upbeat environment for cocktails and pupu. The dimly lit restaurant has a simple menu of American and Mediterranean favorites and is decorated with dark woods and an upscale masculine decor. The comfortable booths, a "Board Room" with billiards, and a DJ playing house music make you want to sip brandy and discuss something intelligent. Check out Supper Club every first and third Saturday at Aria Restaurant, third floor of the Century Center, 1750 Kalakaua Ave.; $15 cover, doors open at 9 p.m.; www.flashandmattyboypresent.com.
