Papakolea will celebrate its 75th anniversary as a Hawaiian community on Saturday with a community celebration.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Stevenson Middle School baseball field and includes food, craft booths and games for children.
Admission is free.
Papakolea, which was added to the Hawaiian Homestead Act in 1934, includes about 270 homes within its 27 acres.
