COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — Former Red Sox slugger Jim Rice will tour the Baseball Hall of Fame on Friday to prepare for his induction in July.
Rice, who spent his entire career with Boston, was elected in January in his 15th and final year of eligibility on the Baseball Writers’ Association of America ballot.
Rice will be enshrined July 26 along with Rickey Henderson, who toured the Hall a week ago, and former New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians second baseman Joe Gordon, elected posthumously by the Veterans Committee.
