NFL: Report: Favre talked healing strategy with doctor
Associated Press
MINNEAPOLIS — With the Minnesota Vikings eagerly waiting, Brett Favre has sought advice from a noted surgeon about his beat-up throwing arm, according to the latest report on the quarterback’s status.
Citing an anonymous source, ESPN.com is reporting that Favre consulted Dr. James Andrews about options for healing the partially torn biceps tendon that has caused pain in his right shoulder.
Favre’s agent, Bus Cook, has not returned repeated phone calls from The Associated Press. Cook has insisted in interviews this month that Favre, for now, remains retired.
Vikings officials were unavailable for comment Friday.
