Wie shoots 3-under 69, tied for sixth, six shots back

Honolulu’s Michelle Wie had a steadier round and a slightly better score today, shooting a 3-under-par 69 at the Sybase Classic in Clifton, N.J.
Wie, who had seven birdies and five bogeys in Thursday’s oepning-round 70, had four birdies and one bogey in the second round.
The Punahou School alum had three bidies in a front-nine of 3-under 33. She had a birdie and bogey on a back-nine 36.
Her two-round total of 5-under 139 puts her in a tie for sixth place.
Brittany Lincicome, who shot an 8-under 64 Thursday, took over the lead after a 69 (133 total) today. She is six shots ahead of Wie and two ahead of Suzann Pettersen (65-70) and Ji Young Oh (66-69).
First-round leader Helen Alfredsson, who shot an 10-under 62 Thursday, shot 4-over 76 and is tied for fourth, five shots back.
Wie is tied with Karrie Webb, Paula Creamer, Song-Hee Kim and Sandra Gal.
