BUSINESS BRIEFS
Hawaii Opera Theatre moves in
Hawaii Opera Theatre has moved its box office and administrative offices to 848 S. Beretania St.
The building, which was given to the nonprofit arts company several years ago, was renamed Hawaii Opera Plaza at a recent dedication and blessing ceremony.
HOT's old location on Waimanu Street in Kaka'ako needed a new roof and many other upgrades, said Karen Tiller, executive director.
"It was the ideal time for us to make a move that would not only support the staff with more professional resources, but still made sound financial sense.
"It's a wonderful new beginning for our 50th anniversary season."
