You know as well as we do that when it comes to superheroes, few are as dear to local hearts as the out-for-justice android Kikaida.
The 1970s Japanese import this weekend celebrates 35 years since it first aired on Hawai'i television, taking audiences captive with its subtitled live-action tales of heroic feats.

TWO WHEELS ARE BETTER THAN FOUR
Sunday is Bike-to-the-Zoo day, which means that O'ahuans are encouraged to, you know, bike to the zoo. Those who do will be rewarded with free Honolulu Zoo admission, free valet bike parking and a free raffle ticket for a prize drawing at 11 a.m. The first 200 cyclists get free bicycle schwag and a tote bag.

Green Day's latest album, "21st Century Breakdown," drops today. It's the Cali punk trio's first album since 2004's acclaimed "American Idiot," and it's produced by Butch Vig, who also produced Nirvana's "Nevermind" and Smashing Pumpkins' "Siamese Dream."
