4 underage teens injured in early morning one-car crash
A 15-year-old girl from Kapa'a was transferred from Wilcox Hospital on Kaua'i to The Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu after a one-car crash injured her and three other 15-year-olds early yesterday morning.
An unlicensed boy was driving a Jeep Cherokee north on Leho Drive around 1:50 a.m. when he lost control and hit a coconut tree, police said.
According to police, alcohol appeared to have been a factor.
All four of the teenagers from Kapa'a — two girls and two boys — were taken to Wilcox Hospital following the crash. Except for the girl who was transferred to O'ahu, all were treated and released.
Her condition is not known, police said.
