OUTLOOK: Sweep of Hawai'i at Murakami Stadium turned out to be the difference between a winning and losing record in conference for both teams. The Bulldogs, who failed to qualify for the tournament last year when they were the host, were determined not to be left out this time around, so they took it out on UH and Fresno State, sweeping both. They beat the Rainbows at their own game by outpitching them at Murakami. The Bulldogs posted a 3.75 ERA to UH's 6.50, that despite allowing 19 walks in 36 innings.
